The Imperfect Project – Spot the Heron

We were lucky enough to see a Grey Blue Heron on our day out last weekend. Unfortunately he (or she) decided to fly in and land in a rather obscured spot on the little lake. I did try to get as close as I could without falling into the lake, and even with my 300mm zoom lens this heron still looks fairly small in the picture below. Despite this, I still love the photo as it isn’t very often that I get a chance to photograph such a beautiful bird. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to get a little closer.

  1. I see the imperfection here Simone! Spot is a dog’s name – Not a Heron’s. Spot the Heron indeed??

  2. I love the secluded look of the lake, the heron must feel quite at home there, if it weren’t for pesky photographers…lol
