Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Shop Signs

The challenge this week is to showcase shop signs (or store front signs for the North Americans amongst you). Not something I usually photograph unless it is something unusual or of import to myself.

The first one is the famous french macaron shop of Laduree; this is their Paris shop which also includes a cafe. The shop is so popular that you have to que up to get in, and depending on the season, day, and time of day you might be there some time. However, if you go into the cafe, for which the que is usually shorter, you can then get into the shop afterwards without of to stand in line (they have a special filter line for cafe patrons!).

The next one I took purely because of it’s name. It was a cafe somewhere in Dublin I think.

And the final shot is shop in Turkey – all I can say is, at least the tag line is an honest one!
